Had a blast sharing this Beatles-inspired book talk with my seventh graders last week! We started out talking about being ready for summer vacation and going to the pool/lake/beach. Then, I played "Octopus's Garden" to establish the ocean theme. I now have a hold list for Soul Surfer, Ship Breaker, and The Raft!
